Today was a whirlwind of activity for the crew of the Ocean Star on good ol’ Spice Island. After back to back classes of Marine Biology and Seamanship, during which we all got to learn how to drive the dinghy, we were left to our own devices to explore, eat, and study. Some of us ventured to the Spice Market after a pleasant lunch of smoothies and roti, where our senses were bombarded with the aromas of the numerous spices, the vibrantly colorful tents, and the shouts of the merchants trying to attract our attention. Anthony ventured off on his own, where he befriended the National Grenada Museum curator who gave him a grand, impromptu tour of the island, from Carenage to Fort George. After an exhausting day, we shuffled back to the boat to take an Oceanography quiz.
