Location: Pico Island
This morning, we had an early wake-up at 6:00 am to have breakfast, prepared by Dylan and Brig, before we went to catch the ferry to Pico Island for our island tour. In the ferry terminal, Payton and Alex got doughnuts that everyone was very jealous of, but we did not have time to go to the cafe before our ferry. Once we got to Pico, we got into little vans to take us around the island. First, we went to see the volcanic rock formations by the water, where Logan, Andrew, and Hays climbed to the edge of the rocks to take pictures. After we looked at the rocks, we went to the whaling museum and learned about how they would hunt whales for oil. After that, we went to see Mt.Pico, and even though we couldnt hike the mountain due to time, Lizzy, Lanie, and I enjoyed small pastries at their cafe. Then we went to see a small lake that was super pretty, but it started to rain, so we didnt stay for too long. While we were there, Emily, Emma, and Macy got pictures together in front of the lake. On the way back into the town after our tour, Mina and Henry were excited to see a bunch of cute cows in the pastures. Once we got to town, everyone rushed into the market to stock up on snacks for the next passage until we got to Gibraltar. Avery, Mimi, and Lana shared a tub of ice cream, and Maya was excited to get an entire watermelon! Once we were all stocked with bags full of snacks, we went to get lunch in town. For lunch, Brady, Greyson, and Jack each got a large pizza that they ate all of in one sitting!! When we got back to the boat, Sadie and Loulou took a nap, and Nicole took us to make a mural at the dock!! Everyone was excited to use the spray paint to help paint Argo onto the wall, and Rook and Alexis shared their macarons with everyone.
