I woke the people at 7:00, but they were not so happy with me because apparently I woke them up too early. We had biscuits, bacon, potatoes, and eggs for breakfast, which were made by Lana, Jack, and Alex. After breakfast, we began passage prep. For passage prep, we had to take off all the sail covers, put on halyards, prep the engine, 40-40 everything, and get fuel. We moved over and squeezed onto the the fuel dock a (only a little less than half of Argo fit onto the dock.) While we were getting fuel, our chefs accidentally set off the fire alarm from stir-frying the rice (oops). After eating the fried rice, we left the fuel dock and raised sails. Lizzy and I each led a sail raise, so we got to tell people what to do, like easing on the downhaul and taking up the halyard. Once all the sails were up, we had seamanship class during which we had a dance contest in order to find out who would be the star in the video we are filming tomorrow. Our finalists are Brady, Jack, and Hays, so tomorrow we will pick our final star. After watching a lot of dancing, we began watch rotations, starting with watch team 3. Everyone else decided either to join watch team 3 or take naps. Right before dinner, as people were starting to come upstairs, we saw dolphins! They got closer than theyve ever gotten in the past, swimming right underneath the bow sprit and net. For dinner, we had curry, which was very good. Now, everyone is finishing up the clean up, and watch team 2 is getting ready to go relieve watch team 1.
P.S. I am totally not bribing people with gummy bears to help me write this.
