Watch team 2 (Sadie, Emily, Logan, Alex, Lana, Lizzy, Jack, and Avery) woke up bright and early at 7:30 for the 8- 12 watch. It started off pretty slow as we all were still half asleep, but we did a squat workout to help wake us up a bit. As the day went on, some of us on deck saw dolphins and a whale. Of course, I was below deck and didn’t get to see any, but I was occupied with my duties as skipper. Apparently, yesterday, when we were figuring out what music to download, the song “Animals” by Maroon 5 got brought up, and a few people on the boat weren’t a big fan of this song. So naturally, when I was waking everyone up, I decided to blast that song all throughout the cabins. Some found it funny, and others, like Mimi, didn’t. As I was trying to leave her cabin, she grabbed my leg and was pulling me, so I couldn’t run away. I would say most of the people on the boat aren’t exactly morning people. Anyways, some of us on watch team 2 (Emily, Lana, and I) and a few others decided to take a 10-minute nap before lunch. I was sleeping peacefully when all of a sudden Alex started to scream in my face for a lovely little wake-up. He ended up doing the same thing to Peyton (you could hear Alex screaming through the waterproof door). After the cleanup of our taco bowls, we had Seamanship and Leadership (shockingly). All of us were just grateful that Navmaster was over and we could do other things besides charting. During leadership, it was Hays, Lou Lou, and Jack’s turn for presentations. We ended up being split into three groups and were tasked to create a dance routine. My dance group ended up winning because Maya and Mina flipped Brigg. Unfortunately, our bread maker, Avery, was not able to join the dance competition, but she ended up making really good bread for dinner. Between classes and dinner, our chefs made us some delicious soup and salad while the rest of the boat relaxed. When taking my nap, I was awoken by Alex again, but this time he shoved his foot in my face. Moments before dinner, we saw a bunch of dolphins swimming near the bow of the boat, which made me feel better after having Alex’s stinky feet in my face. We then ended the day with our dinner and cleanup while being visited by more dolphins and three whales!
