This morning Ocean Star departed St. Lucia bound for France…well at least the French island of Martinique. The sails went up and the anchor was raised without engaging the propeller. The breeze was fresh, from the east and we plowed north at up to 9 knots with the crew sharing the helming duties. We sailed through waters that undoubtedly hosted many a battle between Admiral Rodney of the renowned English Navy and his French adversaries. Ocean Star’s crew performed flawlessly as we sailed onto the anchor. We are tired and windburned and looking forward to Fort de France tomorrow.
