Location: St. Pierre, Martinique
After breakfast we motored to Fort de France where we got to have lunch and spend some time ashore. The biggest city in the eastern Caribbean, Fort de France definitely seemed like a metropolis after spending so much time in small island towns. It was bustling and carnival was in the air with locals dressed in all manner of attire and the shop windows full of festive things. After our time ashore we returned to Ocean Star for another motor to St. Pierre, our anchorage for the night. Everyone was excited about dinner as it was grill night and kebabs and chicken drumsticks were on the menu. The rest of the night will most likely be spent diligently working on papers.
