What’s up, party people? We’re back! The day started off with scrubbing the deck until it was sparkling clean, and then Erin and Hannah K made chicken Caesar wraps for lunch, which were amazing. The most exciting part of our day was when we sheeted out the main and forward staysails! Nashota did a great job helming perfectly North. Sheeting out the sails means we moved the sails out so they can catch the wind for us. Then, we had leadership and oceanography, where we had our second quiz, which means a test next class – very scary stuff. It was so hot and humid below deck – we were struggling. During class, Henry started making some burgers and potatoes, which made everything smell amazing – we were all very hungry. He then surprised us with cinnamon rolls – made with leftover bread rolls – for dessert. What a great guy. While we were eating dinner, the fishing line started spooling out and we saw a 5ft Blue Marlin jump out of the water, it was crazy stuff. Thankfully, the fish came off because it would have been an ordeal to get it on board, and we wouldn’t have been able to eat it anyway. We ended our day with the squeeze question, “Which reality TV show would you want to be on?” and had some Rubik’s Cube races, with Vittoria coming out victorious!
Thank you to Nashota, Henry, Alexa, Vittoria, and Reed for helping me write the blog!
Henry would like to tell the Richmond family that he made bread twice today, and we are all very proud!
What is up, my beautiful family? I love you all very much. I hope all is well-Nashota
To Alexa’s Family & Friends – Hi everybody! I love and miss you all so much and hope everything has been good 🙂
