Location: Underway to Brazil
Hello friends and family!
What another great day in the middle of the Atlantic with guest appearances from dolphins, terns, and Portuguese man o wars on the 8-12 watch with watch team 3 (Me, Amanda C., Ben, Zoe, Audrey, Nick, David, and Tim). I was told watch team 2 (Claire, Amanda S., Elene, Ellie, Brina, MG, Will, Gabe G., and Nolan) saw an amazing sunrise, and Elene cut Amanda’s hair on their 4-8 watch while watch team 1 (Gabe C., Elisabeth, Emma, Natalie, Gabe D., Beau, Max, and Peter) apparently had a rap battle about Kraken or something. Our delicious barbecue chicken wrap lunch was cooked by Ben, Tim, and Gabe G, which we all enjoyed while hiding from the sun under shade. We all struggled a bit in Oceanography and Leadership classes today because of how hot today was, but a surprise distraction came in the form of a fish on the line! Freddie and Ben reeled in the wahoo, and Zoe and Tim were up the companionway before you could blink! After class, everyone had some time to work on assignments, and lots of chocolate was shared (Thank you, Nat and Elene, for sharing!!!). Lots of backgammon was played, and there is currently a bet between Freddie and Audrey on who will win more chess/backgammon games. We are all looking forward to more days on Argo, and shoutout to my family and friends following us! Love you all 🙂
