Location: St. Pierre, Martinique
We have finally reached the half way mark on day 40. It is amazing to think that we have been living on the boat for 40 days now. The day started out normally with wake up at 7:15 and breakfast at 7:30. Our plan was to motor over to St. Pierre right after breakfast but due to some technical difficulties we stayed in Fort De France for a while longer. While waiting, we had an MTE class where we were educated on true and magnetic north and about variation and deviation. It was quite an interesting lecture and fun to learn about how to navigate. Afterwards we took time to venture to shore again where we ate out at a restaurant where we ordered yummy pizzas to satisfy our hunger. We explored around town going into various shops and taking in the local culture. Later on we came back to the boat where we were then able to pull up anchor and head to St. Pierre. It was a nice ride over to St. Pierre and we all enjoyed taking showers after a long day. Dinner consisted of hamburgers and hot dogs cooked on the grill which made everyone happy. All in all, it was another great day in the Caribbean.
