Location: North Sound, Virgin Gorda
Today we had our MTE final exam, which everyone passed! We all now have our Navigation Master certification. We were tested on how to use charts to find our location, plot our course to steer when accounting for current or leeway and how to use tide and current tables. It took most of the day to complete the exam due to the fact that we all had to take turns sitting in a place where you could spread the big chart out and have plenty of room to work. After passing the test a few rented a Hobie cat to sail around North Sound while the rest of us stayed back relaxing on deck playing Bananagrams and even doing a bit of some studying. Then our neighbors on a yacht next to us had a helicopter that we got to see take off and land! All in all a great day for achievements! Go us!
