Location: West End Tortola

It was departure day, and large ferries, taxis, and airplanes were inbound to go outbound with all of our students. We all shared a sad goodbye as we hugged and said wish each other well. I myself tucked out on a taxi with Anya and ended up spending the majority of my day in Road Town. For all you guys getting back home now who were concerned about my hand, yes, I totally broke my finger. The time I spent waiting to be seen by a doctor allowed me to reflect on our voyage together, and to think about how far we have all come since our first days together and what we learned from each other. It has been impressive watching you all grow, and it was humbling watching you set to work cleaning and restoring Ocean Star. Everyone worked together really well and communicated in nautical terminology. It is tough watching you all go. I wish we could have another forty days together because it really felt as if we hit our groove in the last week. You all have accomplished so much, and we are proud to have had you aboard. Keep pursuing your dreams and passions and look to your cards when you need us to lift you up again. Thank you all for an amazing forty days. We miss you already.
-P.S. Maya, you left your Nutella!
