Location: East London, South Africa

This morning started with late wake-ups and a breakfast of overnight oats with an amalgamation of toppings, from yoghurt to Nutella to Biscoff (yum!). After a swift cleanup, the students went straight into their master’s exams! The ultimate culmination of months of hard work & chartwork. Finding their way through the course to steer, estimated positions, and 3-point fixes! Then lunch arrived, which was swiftly served with our favourite Jennyanny (Jennifer Aniston) salad. Then you guessed it, back into more nav master exams!! Yipppeee!! With a little clean up, we had a surprise of a real South African BRAAI supported by the lovely yacht club owners, who very graciously welcomed us with open arms! I made some scones as a thank you, and we made our way across to the yacht club. We were offered phenomenal hospitality, with some
incredible food, local “meat sticks” (boerwoers), and awesome company. While we mingled with the locals, Scarlette and Alice took over the cooking, Henry swapped a t-shirt for a t-shirt, Keith bonded with another visitor over their local knowledge of Chicago, and Mac enjoyed all of the meats! We laughed, sang, and chatted late into the night, and made our way back to the boat to the excited news of another late wake !.
