Location: Tobago Cays- Paradise on Earth!

Another day in paradise began today with chocolate chip pancakes and eggs, the perfect start to the perfect day! The first order of business was sailing class with Captain Kevin, who filled heads with collision regulations, light signals, and sound signals (which were enthusiastically demonstrated by the shipmates). A morning snorkel followed, where everyone began learning in earnest the names of all the wonderful reef fish and critters. Before boarding Ocean Star again, the crew made a team effort and scrubbed the green growth beginning to form at her waterline till she gleamed in the clear sunlight. After lunch, the students worked on their research projects, which turned them all into real scientists. The rest of the afternoon was free for windsurfing, snorkeling, kiteboarding, reading, napping, studying, and just soaking up the general atmosphere of one of the most beautiful places on earth. After the sun had set behind the island that Johnny Depp was stranded on in the Pirates of the Caribbean film, we enjoyed a hearty family dinner, and the crew is currently finishing clean up in great spirits as they are all eagerly anticipating the night snorkel that is in store for us tonight. In summary, sailing, science, watersports, relaxing, sun, sea, sand, and plenty of snorkeling. Happy, happy, happy!
