Gooddd morninggg, watch team three(Emma, Perry, Henry, Camilla, and I) and Grant had an early start today with some sail handling. Taking down the mainsail was really fun with just our headlights at four this morning, we did a great job though! Watch team two(Zoe, Kyler, Vittoria, Reed, and Alexa) had an extended watch to help us, which was much appreciated. They also had some stories to tell about taking down the flying jib.
Lunch time rolled around with some delicious chicken, rice, and cauliflower bowls made by Grant and Perry. After food we had our classes, marine biology was just a short lecture about the deep sea and all the funky animals down there, and seamanship was really fun because were doing charting right now. Shoutout Reed, we did a great job with all our coordinates, very proud.
Our very brave PSCT students (Zoe, Kyler, Vittoria, Henry, Hannah Y, and Emma) had their first exam today. It sounded very hard, and we should send them all our love.
For the rest of us, we studied for the Oceanography midterm tomorrow, which is very scary stuff. Then we caught a bluefin tuna!
Unfortunately, it was already dead; it drowned. So we turned it into a mini dissection before dinner, learned so much, thank ya, Perry.
Dinner was beautifully prepared by our chefs; they made chicken stir-fry. My squeeze question was to choose an animal to fight for you, and the person next to you had to pick a caveat. And now our lovely Vittoria is making us granola bars because weve got no butter left to make cookies, thank you!
Love lots, wishing everyone well.
