Location: Carriacou

Today started an hour early so we could get the sails up and be underway to Carriacou by sunrise. After getting three sails up, we were rewarded with eggs and bacon. After a quick 6-hour sail, we arrived in Hillsborough Bay and could already hear the music from the carnival. We dinghied to shore and had a guided tour of the island, and learned a bit about its history. Our main attraction was the traditional wooden boats that are still made by hand. Next was jambalaya for dinner and a beautiful sunset to go with it. We are finishing the night off with red velvet cheesecake cookies for Valentine’s Day and a marine biology class to prepare for our exam. Happy Valentines Day!
