Location: Underway to San Blas
Hello to all! Watch team 2 kicked off the morning with calm seas and a beautiful sunrise, all for Aidans birthday, of course! Today is our last full day of passage before we arrive at the San Blas Islands early tomorrow morning. This has been our longest passage so far, and weve seen it all, but to say the least, everyone has developed some pretty strong sea legs. Lets just say we have some professional bull riders in the near future! Helena completed her helmsona (helming for 4 hours straight) from 8:00-12:00 pm, gaining her name of tinkerhelm. I plan on completing mine from 12:00-4:00 am tonight, as Ive made a 4-hour playlist in preparation! I currently have the name, Auto Pilot Emma, and I am hopefully gaining a helmsona name of either Helmus for Tellus, or Gucci Helma for the new nickname I have obtained from the song Lemonade by Gucci Mane. We changed time zones!!! Apparently, there is a dance to that, as we witnessed at lunch today. The staff had a little flash mob action while we were stuffing our faces with Caesar salad wraps. Overall, today was pretty mellow, studying for our first exams, scrubbing the sea salt off the deck that weve done a wonderful job collecting over the past few days, and celebrating Aidans birthday! Side note, today I have come to the conclusion that Watch Team 2 (also known as my watch team) is really just running the show, and pulling the weight for all! Anyways, we are feeling more and more confident by the day, learning so much about each other, and truly embracing this once-in-a-lifetime experience! We are excited to talk to our people once we have service, but for now, we are living in the present and doing what we need to get from point A to point B!
Family and friends, I love and miss you all and cant wait to fill you in on some wild stories!
Best,
