Location: Underway to San Blas

Watch team 3 started the day at 12 am for watch, and a couple of us (especially Jonas and little Meg) barely made it out alive. The boat seemed like it was going to tip over, and we knew when a big wave was coming because it would come eye level with us. You have to hold on tight. We looked at the bright constellations, and Arthur and I made the unwise decision to attempt to make Ramen. Each time Argo rocked, we would be slammed into the counter of the galley, and everything would go flying, including hot water. Watch team 3 went to bed at 4 am and got to sleep until lunch time. I woke up to Ani sleeping on the floor. Today, Cason made us pasta for lunch and chicken with his own seasoning he brought from home.
After the cleanup, we had marine biology with Meg and seamanship with Shane. Shane showed us a short movie about this guy who filmed pieces of his rough life sailing on a ship a long time ago, and it made us thankful for our warm weather, and that we don’t have to hang off the masts by our feet. When men fell overboard, the guy would say,” Just two more empty beds. I, along with some others, have been feeling especially seasick on this passage, so when I could finally look at a piece of paper without feeling I was on my deathbed, I wrote a small poem, inspired by my previous poem titled”I am sunburn”:
I am seasick
A poem thought of by Ruby Katsihtis while seasick, and written much later

The illness of the sea
Has caught up with me
And although I have tried,
Ican’tt hide.

My mates have had it worse,
And we are not the first.
Will we ever live
Through this curse?

A swell above our heads,
Just two more empty beds
Was all he said.

The ship rocks left and right. There’s nothing you can fight; you’llfall out of your bed.
In the night!

Some can work and sing,
The rest are suffering,
One thousand Dramamine couldn’tsave me.

A swell above our heads,
Just two more empty beds
Was all he said.

I hope you enjoyed it. My hope is that it might have made you sea sick as well. Although it may sound like I am miserable, I feel like a pirate, and we are all having fun. Seeing dolphins swim next to the boat makes passages worth it. I do wish I had some chocolate, though. (donations happily welcome) After eating dinner, I asked my squeeze a question: Would you rather have: 1. Shane’ss hair, Meg’s brain, andNick’ss voice, or 2: Charlie’s hair, Rachel’s brain, andNacho’ss voice, or 3. Be Aidan. All of the options were chosen pretty equally, and Aidan chose himself. Now everyone is cleaning up, andit’ss getting dark.

(Hi to my family and friends, I miss yo,u and I hopeyou’ree alive)
Signing off,
