Location: Bequia

It was our final full day in Bequia, and although everyone is sad to go, the fact that every location keeps getting better than the next makes it a whole lot easier to say goodbye!

Today was spent primarily on shore, where everyone went and did some exploring, souvenir shopping, and eating out at local restaurants and cafes. Some even found a cool thrift shop where they bought fun things, including the $4 camera Henry bought with the idea of fixing it up. Once everyone got back, they went out on a fun dive to Devil’s Peak and came back to take their VHF exam, where everyone passed! The entire crew of Vela is now officially licensed to communicate with other ships on the radiovery official stuff.

The day wasn’t over yet, though, as the students and dive instructors kitted back up for their first night dive of the semester! They went back out to the spot they dove at earlier in the day, and everyone loved it. Diving at night for the very first time is always a treat to witness. They were welcomed back to Vela with hot cocoa that Emma made for everyone, and with such a big, fun day, everyone is very ready for a good night’s sleep!
