Location: English Harbor, Antigua

It was another eventful day on Oceanstar. With everyone on board, we started off the day, leaving our starting location on the dock and moving an incredible 100 feet away to the fuel dock. While this stop was supposed to be short, we, unfortunately, found a fuel leak which will hopefully be fixed tomorrow. On the bright side, we all get an extra day of a shore bathroom. However, by moving the boat, we were able to learn how to pull up anchor, man lines, and tie up to the dock. There were a lot of moving parts to bring up anchor and moving the boat, and we learned just how greasy and dirty it could get. We definitely broke a sweat as the sun came out in full force today. As the day continued, we had a PFD orientation for when we got underway and looked especially stylish in our type one PFD. Later on, we learned how to set up our dive gear and had a friendly competition to test our knowledge. Certified divers were able to embark on their first dive today, and the rest finished PADI videos, bringing us one step closer to diving. A big takeaway from today is to be adaptable as our plans seem to constantly be changing. We are continuing to get to know each other through daily interactions and are excited for all that is to come.
