Location: Underway to St. Lucia
Hello O Star family and friends,
This is your skipper Mackenzie. It only took twenty-seven days for me to finally get to do the job. Anyways, today’s started off with an easy wake-up. Most everyone was already up. We started the day off with a quick review for Fish ID (Thanks, Amanda). Next, we had banana bread for breakfast (so good). We then cleaned up and had Marine Bio, where we took our quiz and then learned about sponges – which are animals. Leadership class was next, and Sarah gave a great presentation on her topic about understanding ourselves. For lunch, we had turkey burgers, and then we finished passage prep and pulled up the anchor – where Savannah flaked the chain. We then motored a bit away from the anchor yard and began to get the sails up, not the (middle mast?) because it’s a little broken at the moment. Ela was on the helm for most of it, and Rae, Fizz, and Amanda jumped in later. We got the sails up and are currently on our way to St. Lucia. For dinner, we had some nice cold pasta made by our chefs – Mia (head chef) and Rae and Sunny (Sous Chefs). And today’s squeezes question was what is one of your favorite fun facts.
We are now in clip in hour, and the first watch is getting ready to start their shift.
