Location: Off the coast of Venezuela
Hello,
Today has been a great day underway. My watch team (Watch Team One), Brooke, Henry, Morgan, Jake, and Graham, began our day at 03:30. After a watch briefing, we took over and continued on a course of 295. The 4-8 watch is my favorite as you get to see the stars and bioluminescence at night, as well as the sunrise in the morning. After handing over to Watch Team Two, we chilled until lunch. The chefs cooked up some awesome bread for deli sandwiches; simple food = easy clean up.
The afternoons classes were Marine Biology, we’re one lecture away from the first exam and today wee covered marine micro organisms. Afterward, the students had a Leadership class, which sounded like a lively class.
My watch team settled into a relaxed afternoon watch where we got some good sail handling and practiced our knot-tying skills.
Today was a great day, we are currently clocking 9 knots on the way to San Blas, no ones seasick and everyone seems to be in the groove.
Looking forward to what comes next, thanks for reading.
