Location: Bora Bora, French Polynesia
We woke up today on a very windy morning excited to spend a day on Bora Bora and go into town to get some snacks, food, and to explore the local shops. Once we reached the dock, we took a nice walk down the road into town. It was incredibly interesting to see all the locals and where they lived. There were also a bunch of dogs along the way, so all the dog lovers were very happy about that. Once we got to the village, most people went to a small restaurant to get an early lunch, and afterward, we all split up into smaller groups to go into shops, get snacks, and find places to just sit and hang out. Some of us found an open field and hung out there, getting some nice handstand lessons from Olivia. After all, was done in town, we took the long walk back to the dock to head back to Argo. We took our showers, and some did a small boat workout of deck pull-ups and push-ups. Now, everyone is getting ready for a night out to see a Haieva (local cultural festival involving traditional singing, dancing, and drumming). Everyone is super excited and getting ready for an awesome night out! We are also very excited about our first multi-day voyage to Raratonga. Hopefully, we have fewer seasickness casualties than last time, and then we’ll be in the Cook Islands!
