Today the shipmates were woken up at 0700 to the two best songs our generation has ever seen, Drop in the Ocean by OMI, and I Need a Dollar by Aloe black. Following this fabulous wake-up, we all enjoyed the delicious Crepes made by Britt, Sierra, and Kate. After breakfast cleanup, half of us took a practice Nav Master test while the other half studied on deck (at least we tried to be studious). Those of us on deck were entertained by Allie and Emma, who worked on their front and eventually backflips! Later on, during jump-in showers, other shipmates attempted to flip off the cap rails (some more successful than others). Everyone pitched in as we all got ready for the beach BBQ on a nearby island. We had hamburgers and hotdogs with homemade rolls and delicious fresh vegetables. We brought to shore some frisbees, a soccer ball, and of course, a speaker to play music. We ran across the sand, playing frisbee catch and diving into the water to make some amazing catches. We even got a boys vs. girls soccer game going (the girls obviously took the win 🙂 ). Once all the food was cooked, we sat in the sand side by side, looking out at the water, the setting sun, and all the beautiful sailboats. We all feel very lucky to be where we are, and knowing we are all safe together is reassuring. It is moments like these when you realize just how close we all have come to one another. The support we give each other is immeasurable, and we are always there for each other no matter what. Today was a great day, and we are all ready for more adventures to come our way!
