Location: Panama City, Panama

The day started bright and early when I began with one of my skipper duties, morning wakeups. I played some classics such as Dance Monkey, Astronaut in the Ocean, Sounds of a Man Screaming, etc. Following breakfast, we had both Marine Bio and Seamanship classes. Both were enthralling lessons where we all learned a lot, mostly about plotting courses and different marine phyla. After lunch, we headed to Panama City to the BioMuseo, which was an incredible science museum dedicated to the biodiversity and history of Panama. Fun fact – Panama is the most biodiverse country in the world and the only capital city with a rainforest inside its city limits. After the awesome museum, we headed into the old town of Panama City, a beautiful historic section of the city, where we were then released for the rest of the day. We then split into different groups, and all had great days, meeting back up at a rooftop bar to close out the night with incredible views of downtown Panama Citys skyline. Definitely comforting for me to see some skyscrapers and concrete! Overall, it was a fantastic day!
