Location: Savannah Bay
Day 3 and the second full day of the program, we find our crew awoken by the sound of music and ready for the day. The ship Argo is anchored, surrounded by glassy, clear turquoise water and swaying palm trees. This iconic backdrop would soon become our scuba diving playground. After a stellar breakfast, the more experienced divers got to test the waters first, while those who were newer to the sport spent the morning learning everything needed for a safe dive. Our instructors are patient and enthusiastic, and each stands out in their own unique ways. While scuba diving was our most major activity of the day, we, of course, had our chores in between. Despite only being a crew for less than three full days, our teamwork is smooth and efficient. Before long, one might assume we’ve crewed together for years. Everyone meshes together so well; it’s truly astounding. We also received some visitors from our sister ship, the Ocean Star.
