Location: Ile Fourchue, St Barth's

Barely 5:30 am, it was still dark when I awoke. I was greeted by Arielle, who was still on watch. We both cheerfully went down below and started making a ruckus to wake the remainder of the shipmates up, for today was our sunrise hike on the barren island of Ile Fourche. It was pretty cool. We made it on the beach by 6 am. We then hiked up to the top of one of the peaks to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. Sweet. Back on the board the boat, the day continued on. There was a morning and afternoon dive group out to a small island right off of Ile Fourche. During the dives, animals such as nurse sharks, spotted eagle rays, stingrays, barracuda, and groupers were sighted. It was also a perfect time for me to throw in a rescue diver scenario to the shipmates. After dinner, I presented a slide show on Antarctica to tie in with the polar seas that Jenny has been talking about in her marine biology class. This is skipper Casey signing off, until next time. Cool Peace Bye
