Location: Underway - Leaving Galapagos

Wow, what a day! It started out with an amazing sunrise and yogurt and granola for breakfast. During breakfast, we saw a bait ball surface not too far from the boat, so with the little time I had between clean up, Kelsey and I swam over to it to check it out. Right when we got to it, we saw two Galapagos sharks, both about 5ft, which was really cool. It was definitely a highlight of the Galapagos for me. Right after I got back to the boat, we all started with passage preparation. Since I was skipper, I was in charge of coordinating who does what tasks and doing tasks after assigning most of them. After we had done about 3/4 of passage prep, we stopped for lunch, which was pasta with a roasted red pepper sauce; it tasted amazing. After that, we continued finishing up the last little bit of passage prep, then got a little bit of free time to call home and take showers prior to immigration coming aboard to clear us to leave. Then we picked up anchor, and as soon as they got off the boat, we started motoring out of the cove in which we were anchored. Lastly, we had chicken pot pie for dinner, which was an awesome way to end the day.
