Waking up in Savannah Bay, we enjoyed a good breakfast of corn puffs with the view of a double rainbow and got ready to sail out. We learned how to pull up the anchor and raise each of the three boom sails, working together as a real crew. Throughout the sail, we practiced both tacking and gybing. Shortly after, we anchored at Mountain Point and had an amazing lunch of pasta salad (oh and the cold water – everyone’s favorite). The afternoon was spent completing more Open Water SCUBA training dives, swimming, and reading. Once everyone got back to the boat, it was the time for our “Wash Workout” and a quick yoga class by Sinclair, which was a really great way to relax after such an activity-packed day. Then we started getting ready for dinner – chicken wings, brussels sprouts, and potatoes were a hit! To close dinner, we did our traditional “squeeze” and talked about our favorite books… It’s been a long day full of learning new skills and getting to know each other better, and we can’t wait to continue to the Leverick Bay tomorrow!
