Good evening families!
Started off today with some tasty oatmeal, then split off into our different dive groups. All of our uncertified folks took the open water PADI exam and passed with flying colors while the certified group headed down into the water for a Wreck Dive. Although they were sad to discover no ships on the ocean floor, a reef awaited them. Just as awesome.
Our fabulous chef group today, Abby Beau and Andrea, made us a pasta salad for lunch before we headed off to the Baths. We loaded into dinghies and were dropped to a swim line, swimming the rest of the way to our first beach and first steps back on land in 5 days. We climbed, swam, and jumped through the beautiful rock formations scattered through the water. Jax and Michael ended our little excursion with a gift. Our top two climbers swung up into a mango tree on the shore and swam them back to the boat on our way back to Ocean Star.
Dinner! We had sloppy joes and sweet potato fries and dreamt up our dream desserts. Around the “squeeze” circle, answers ranged from three-course lemon sorbet extravaganzas to classic BandJs Tonight Dough. It was hard to get too caught up in missing our at-home favorites, though, while chomping down on oranges that matched the setting sun off the boat. After dinner, two mates joined the growing team of back flippers, the goal being to have all 20 of us master the skill by the end of our journey. Now, we’re off to Spanish Town. Our first journey at night! See you tomorrow!
