Location: Cook's Bay, Moorea, French Polynesia
In the wee hours of the morning watch, team 2 brought us to the lovely island of Moorea! Watch team three begin anchor watch at 4 am when a 30-knot gust of wind came over the bay, nearly knocking the two people on watch over! At 8:30, everybody woke up and had some delicious cereal for breakfast. After breakfast, we began our BA (boat appreciation) and began cleaning all day long. Some people cleaned the galley, others the hull and water line, a group worked up on deck, and another group worked hard on cleaning out three bilges from hydraulic fuel that had spilled earlier in the week. We ended our day with some rain, showers, and a lovely dinner. After dinner, we had OCE Research Project presentations, and now everyone is slowly, one by one, going to sleep! Much love to all at home. We all can’t wait to see you in 6 days! Skipper of the Day, Connor M.
