Location: Pain a Sucre, Les Saintes

Argo’s crew began their day with homemade banana bread and a student leadership development class. During class, we considered the events and individuals that had the greatest impact on who we are today. We were also presented with important information on our next destination, Dominica! After class, we were briefed on our research diver assignment. In the first dive, we observed how depth affects where different corals and sponges grow. In our final research dive, we counted the number of fish within a radius of the quadrants along the transect line. We observed everything from scorpionfish to eels and an octopus! After the dives, we prepared the boat for this evening’s passage to Dominica and enjoyed Mexican Lasagna. Au revoir Les Saints, hello Dominica! -Sophie Hollingsworth, Skipper of the Day
