Today was a calmer day aboard the Ocean Star, for both our schedule and our balance. We started the morning off with some amazing carrot bread for breakfast courtesy of our chefs Hunter and Ciara. After we had devoured our meal, we set a course for Great Dog, where our scuba divers explored a wrecked airplane that was used in a James Bond film. Once everyone was back aboard, and our gear stowed, we hauled the anchor up and left for Spanish Town on Virgin Gorda. While ashore, we had a few hours of free time and stopped by the Bath and Turtle, which provided us with a delicious lunch, which none of us had to prepare, and the highly sought after commodity that is Wi-Fi. We then proceeded to walk around a few shops to resupply with a few snacks and the ever-important sunscreen. After our free time, we hopped back into Irving and Exy (the O’ Star dinghies) and enjoyed quite a bumpy ride back to the boat. With the day ending, we took our quick ocean showers and ate another fantastic meal, this time chili and cornbread, and gathered everyone for our leadership class with Ian. Now it’s off for some last-minute studying for our oceanography quiz tomorrow followed by some much-needed sleep, especially for those of us that have anchor watch tonight. That ends another great day at sea.
