Today after breakfast the trainee, divers spent the morning after breakfast studying while all of us certified divers went with Simon on a short orientation dive. He tested some of our basic diving skills then we looked around at some coral heads. After lunch, we went over watch schedules. Basically, we have to patrol the boat and make sure everything is in order. We have to check the deck, the sails, lines, portholes, electric appliances and the engine room. The engine room is a little scary since you have to walk between hot machinery to check things, but it’s an important job that has to be done. After dinner tonight we’re having our first sign out night where we can go and have a few drinks on shore. Personally, I just want some ice cream!
