Today was a really exciting day for the Open Water Divers, who got to dive in the big blue for the first time. Due to some tired individuals who forgot how to read (Hayes and Michael), the wrong people were woken up, offsetting the nightshift’s schedule. Later in the day, after much anticipation, everyone was able to hop in the water to practice Scuba Diving skills and snorkel. The Open Water Divers got to experience what it is really like to breath underwater after completing most of their coursework. Throughout the day, groups of people got to go ashore and explore the beautiful island of Moorea. Some choose to go snorkeling, and others choose to wander about onshore, visiting small shops and little cafes. As the day came to an end, we had dinner ending with everyone sharing their most embarrassing moments. This leads to some good laughs as well as a new level of friendship between each other.
I’m looking forward to 75 more days with all these people, traveling the world.
