Location: Gustavia, St. Barth's

The crew awoke in the morning to a wonderful five minute downpour and the smell of freshly cooked eggs and French baguettes with jam and cheese. (separate of course) We could tell this was going to be a good day. The open water divers met in the cockpit for a quick briefing before making way toward their intended dive site. The rest of the crew had a morning shore leave. Lunch on-shore was optional and most took advantage of the local spot, La Creperie. (If anyone wishes to visit St. Barth’s anytime soon this is the place to go.) La Creperie is complete with six pages of different types of crepes, sandwiches, and salads. If you are a World Cup fan don’t worry, La Creperie has two televisions to choose from. After lunch the advanced divers had a quick knowledge review before their deep dive. The deep dive took place off the side of a rock island called some French name that no one can pronounce. The island was the local nesting site for brown-footed boobies. Once down to our maximum depth of eighty-five feet, the advanced divers had to complete simple math problems to see the effect of nitrogen narcosis. The dive was spectacular, complete with the spotting of a southern stingray and a bottom eel. Finally Mexican night was upon us. The crew, especially Jules, has been looking forward to this night all trip. Imagine fresh tacos with cheese and guacamole in the harbor of a beautiful quaint French town in the Caribbean Perfect. After dinner the crew prepares for the trip tomorrow to our next beautiful location.
