Location: Rodney Bay, St Lucia

A beautiful day sailing from the Pitons to Rodney Bay with the planning for the trip up to Dominica already well underway. Spirits are high on board SY Ocean Star as the program matures nicely. Freediving with head dive instructor Ash this morning was a smash hit with those that took part (at 6 am sharp). Today’s cooks managed to produce three delicious and filling meals, despite the fact that we spent much of the day beating upwind at quite a rate of knots. Everyone is looking forward to starting their Padi Rescue diver course when we get to Dominica (myself included), as all crew members are either advanced or open water certified except the dive instructors themselves. The scenery here is breathtaking. I’ve never seen so many rainbows, and I’m from Cornwall in the UK, where rainbows are really quite common. Then there are the sunsets, the sea, and all set to the backdrop of the beautiful green hills and mountains of St Lucia. I think everyone on board is excited to see somewhere new but will be sorry to leave such a spellbinding place.

Signing out,

Hedrek
