Location: Leaving Fernando de Noronha

Today started off with a fellow crew mate, Anne Slingsby, getting seasick on the anchor for the first time in Seamester history; by the afternoon, her bedding was hanging to dry on the stern lifelines. Breakfast was another Chef Sylver master class with their majestic crepes, props to them for doing such a great job in these Brazilian swells. After brekkie, we started our passage prep for our departure, which was awesome for me because I got to hold the clipboard and assign jobs to my fellow crew mates. By 10 am, we headed to shore for 6 hours of free reign on the island. Zac, Darien, Anne, Cec Maddy, and I hitchhiked to a real authentic acai bowl place, which really hit the spot, considering how hot and humid it was. Bellies full on acai we headed to the beach, which was a lot of fun until the lifeguards sent out a jet ski to try retrieve Cec and I from the strong rip current, luckily my swimming capabilities are too good (thanks mom for encouraging me to hit the pool before coming). We then found ourselves at a restaurant right on the beach, where I dove into a filet mignon sandwich, which was awesome. And before we know it we were headed to the dinghy dock to get back on board on Argo. Dinner was stir-fry, and then we picked up anchor and headed towards Devils Island.
