Another great day in the Pacific Ocean! This morning marked less than 600 nautical miles left until land, which is bittersweet. We only have 25 days left of the program, and the end of this passage marks the beginning of the end. Today, we had a marine biology exam on marine mammals, reptiles, birds, arthropods, and echinoderms, yay, science! After our test, more charting in MTE was done, followed by oceanography. Speaking of science, today was Argo’s final turtle appreciation day, so everyone should have gotten a 100 on the reptile section! Everyone was encouraged (by me) to wear as much green as possible. There is a general feeling of relief that we only have 470 nautical miles left because personal snacks, including Cadbury Creme Eggs, are dwindling.
