Location: Underway to Mauritius in the Indian Ocean

Today was the first full day of our passage from the Cocos Keeling Islands to Mauritius. We have found that the waves in the Indian Ocean are much bigger than what we’ve been used to. A lot of people have had trouble sleeping because the boat is so rocky, but we will soon get used to it. Today, we had our third class on Student Leadership Development, which was fun. Following SLD, we had Oceanography, which is always interesting. We averaged 8 knots for most of the day, which gave us a 200-mile day since we left Cocos Keeling. We are hoping this wind continues so that it will be a fast trip to Mauritius.
