My day started early at 6:30! I woke everyone up at 7:00 with the song “Heatwaves.” Which has already been played for the millionth time. Breakfast was yogurt, and it was one of the best meals yet! Not only was it not boat-meal, but it also contained berries and fruit that was cold. This is such a luxury that does not happen often on Argo. After saying goodbye to Flores, we started some good old fashion B.A. (boat appreciation). I volunteered to do the two men’s head, so I jammed out to tunes as I cleaned the toilets! We cleaned all of Argo (even the ceilings) and made her look nice and pretty. After we anchored, a boat came along with a multitude of different items to sell. There was a wide range of different options. Among the collection were wooden masks, carved Komodo dragons, pearls, and more! A lot of bargaining was done with them to lower the prices. It was very interesting to see all the different conversations going on. Some include people deciding what to buy and how much to buy it for. After we had lunch, which was prepared by Grace, we headed down to the saloon to watch the rescue diver video. Only to be stopped by another boat. This time selling some Komodo dragon teeth and bones. We then went down to start the hour and a half video, which consisted of some very cheesy demonstrations. It lasted about an hour before we were interrupted by a third boat. This time Gordon bought a large wooden Komodo dragon! I don’t know where he plans on storing it!. We then took a break from the rescue diver videos to snorkel around a small island. There were fields of coral and many unique critters that called this piece of paradise home.

Some of us saw a dugong, but sadly I wasn’t one of them. I then explored the small island with Whitney. Claiming it for ourselves! When trying to get back to Megatron (one of the dinghies), the current was so strong that It swept us around the back of the island like we were in a not-so-lazy river. Back on Argo, we took jump-in showers and got ready for dinner. It was breakfast burritos, Yum! After clean-up, we finished the rescue diver video and went over some of the answers; what a fun day exploring and interacting with the different environments that surround us. Can’t wait for tomorrow where I’m a chef with Matt and Chris.
