Location: Isla Santa Cruz, Galapagos

We finally made it to the Galapagos!!!

After our first breakfast together in 6 days, we quickly banded together to get Argo sparkling clean for our customs inspection. Half of us cleaned the remains (aka bird poop) of our unwelcome flying guests off the deck. While others cleaned the saloon and galley in prep for the inspection.

We were happily sitting on the deck, as screenagers typically do as soon as we get access to service, calling home to share our lovely stories from the passage, when, from the corner of our eyes, we saw a boat approach us. The agents were finally here to check the cleanliness and greasiness of our bilges. Luckily, we passed and got a stellar grade thanks to Sarah and Anis bilge battles from 12-4 am. After filling in our dive logs, we were released from captivity on Argo and got to go to land!

We walked around and explored Puerto Ayora with our newly formed sea legs. Filling our stomachs with yummy ice cream, iced beverages, and yummy snacks! In our short time on land, we saw sea lions on the dock, a turtle in the water, swimming iguanas, baby sharks, and blue-footed boobies!!

Currently were retreating back to our screenager selves on deck before our exciting day at the Charles Darwin center tomorrow!!

Xoxo,
