Location: Sandy Spit, BVI
After a nice long slumber, we woke up in Great Harbor Peter, ate some oatmeal, and completed our last Open Water Four dive. Everyone made it (despite rumors of sharks) and became certified Open Water Scuba Divers! Then we came back to the boat, slipped the mooring, and motored over to Sandy Cay off of Jost Van Dyke. We ate some lunch underway took an amazing hike to the bubbly springs, and observed the intertidal zone as part of our science class. The views were amazing, and we all hiked to the top. Then we went back over to the beach and played some football/frisbee and relaxed. We collected some firewood in hopes of a bonfire later. After, we ate some dinner and went over passage preparation to Nevis. We’re all excited for passage and plan on relaxing by the bonfire for the rest of the evening before leaving the BVIs tomorrow.
