Location: Gibraltar, UK

Today we made it to the top of the rock of Gibraltar. Some of us hiked up the rock while others took the gondola. We were the first people up, and Jack, Jamie, and I found a really cool little tunnel that led us to a beautiful sunrise view over the Med. Then we walked over to see the monkeys! Most of them were enjoying a breakfast of watermelon or apples. Bubba sat down and somehow convinced one to come over and check his legs for bugs. After seeing the monkeys, we all split up. Some went to see the bunkers, caves, or armory where there was a ton of cool WWII stuff. Clara and I sat at the top of the Mediterranean steps before hiking back down to go shopping!!!! We ran into Jack, who had been exploring the WWII tunnels, and he joined us for a little lunch at a cafe and ice cream. We then walked around and popped into a few stores. We ran into everyone else and went to the grocery store before returning to the boat. We began our Oceanography presentations as well as our Nav Master course. Kendra cooked an amazing dinner: coconut chicken with vegetable rice noodles. For squeeze, I asked everyone to state their favorite ice cream or gelato flavor and please specify which is better.

Happy belated birthday to Grandma Rose, and I’m sending extra hugs to Grammy. Also, Uncle Fred, I can’t wait to tell you about the entire trip when I get home. Jack, I can’t wait to come here with you, you’re gonna love it!
