Location: Cook's Bay, Moorea
Hello dear blog-readers
Today was very overwhelming because we just arrived at our final destination: the Society Islands! Watch team 2 had the 4-8 watch, which means we dropped the main sail, both staysails, and the jib sail, and then led the anchorage: a very packed but fun watch. Soon, the enormous green mountains of Moorea looked over us as we put the boat to bed.
In the afternoon, we all got the chance to go shore. People strolled around in the bay and visited many shops. Then it was time for our favorite (jk) part of sailing: sharing some cold beers on our sign-out night. We barefooted, shared a nice dinner in a local restaurant, and had a lot of laughs.
As the end of this trip is creeping around the corner, this is my last blog update ever. I have nothing else to say other than that this has been the most amazing experience I could ever wish for.
Wish you well!!!
Pieter
