Location: Nevis

Today was an overall relaxing day in Nevis. We started off with scrambled eggs and bacon breakfast prepared by master chefs Jorge and Will. Those of us going for our open water dive certifications then completed the final knowledge review, followed by the daunting final exam, which we all passed! Meanwhile, the guys going for their advanced open water certifications went on an adventure navigation dive where they spotted some unique fish, including a stingray! We then had lunch followed by dingy rides to shore for downtime in Nevis. We explored the island shops and restaurants, including the Fancy Jamaican Bakery, where I ate a very uniquely seasoned cinnamon bun. Many of us also followed our new friend Watusi who showed us the local coffee shop and marketplace. With our final hours onshore, we spent some time on a nearby beach, resting up for our long passage ahead. We prepared Ocean Star for passage to Antigua, and then had some delicious risotto and salad before heading underway!
