Location: Pearns Bay, Antigua
We woke up to a scrumptious breakfast of eggs, bacon, and fresh rolls prepared by chef Smash, Sharp, and Ryan. Following breakfast, we split up into our dive groups and the morning groups did their first open water dive. Spirits were high after the first dive and were greeted with tacos and wind for lunch. Although we struggled with flying around lettuce, we were thrilled with having such a delicious lunch. After lunch and cleanup, the afternoon group went out for their dives and had a wonderful time. They got back in time for ocean showers and dinner, which was curry over rice. After dinner, we did our squeeze and discussed what in our first six days exceeded our expectations. After dinner, we did our scientific writing class and learned a lot from Carolyn and Dylan.
