Location: Morris Bay, Antigua
I say this every day, but I think today has been our best day so far. We started this morning with a warm breakfast of apple crumble with yogurt before getting Vela ready to move around the corner to Morris Bay. As skipper, I got to steer while we pulled up anchor. We had our first marine bio lecture while underway, which was a bit of a challenge for those who got seasick (pretty sure only two people puked). After dropping anchor, the student divers headed out to the reef and came back open water certified! Meanwhile, our anchor slipped, and those of us who were on board had to pull it up and reset it. We finished our day with rice/ quinoa bowls, and now we are getting ready for oceanography class (hopefully less nausea for this one).
