Location: Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia

It’s been a lovely day on Argo as the crew tries to squeeze every last bit of fun they can out of the few days they have left onboard. We woke up to a delicious English breakfast to the tantalizing smell of bacon wafting through the air. After a quick passage prep, we bid adieu to Moorea and braved the treacherous 12 miles across to Papeete, Tahiti, our last port of call. As we entered the channel to the marina, we got a sweet view of some surfers, kayakers, and paddleboarders riding the breaking waves. We secured our spot at the marina and broke out the passer-rail for the first time on the trip (it’s basically a long ramp that leads from the stern of the boat to the dock). Civilization! After putting the boat away, a quick deck wash, and connecting ourselves to shore power and water- the crew wandered ashore, found a Mcdonald’s, and spoiled their dinners. Not to worry, there’s always room for birthday cake- Happy Birthday Maeve!!! : )
