Location: Atlantic Ocean
We are in the middle of the Atlantic LET’S GO!!!!! Passage has officially begun, and we’re all trying to adjust to the new schedule on Argo. We all have rotating watches that can range from a brutal 12-4 am to an easy 6-8 pm. The sleep schedule has gotten crazyyyy but we’re all having fun with it! My watch team (Benny, Nini, Maddie, and I) got to watch some pretty incredible stars last night at midnight, and we’ve also seen some pretty amazing sparkle waves that are a result of bioluminescence. Watch team 2 saw dolphins in bioluminescence, and Talia and Darien were SUPER stoked. Talia said it looked like the northern lights because of how bright it was. Watch team 1 also saw the bioluminescent dolphins, which is creating tension onboard because Kackie promised to wake up Meg if they saw them, and she didn’t. She’s in big trouble.
Ben made some insane focaccia sandwiches and quinoa with paneer, which was delish.
We’ve also started real classes, which have been super interesting. We’ve taken some awesome marine bio classes where we observe the albatrosses from on deck and some oceanography classes where we study all the different oceans. We have learned some cool knots in seamanship, and we’ve had some awesome conversations/reflections in leadership.
LOVE YOU GUYS, Sarah, Mom, and Dad, and tell Granny I’m not seasick somehow, and so far, so good!! Oh, also, I’ve been playing lots of wavelength with my watch team. Gotta go to an oceanography class now!
Darien adds to her whole family, “Love you loads and miss you tons!”
