We woke up ready to roll, as we had been instructed to be ready to go at 9 in the morning. After a quick breakfast and sandwich-making session, off we went to what has been my greatest dive yet! Not everyone went. We were split into two groups, this being the first. A quiet drive through the island showed us beautiful mountains, colorful homes, and banana plantations as far as the eye could see. We arrived at the site, did a dive for fun, and surfaced for lunch. Ate and chased down the trash that the wind tried to take. Then down for dive #2, which was our AWARE fish ID dive. Torpedo rays, cuttlefish, summer flounder, and parasitic isopods awaited down below. We resurfaced, tired but happy, and headed back to the port for showers and a little bit of shopping! A nice hectic day with a satisfying result.
